Home 04:10
From the day that I was born I had been searchin' but I Never found where I belonged Till that faithful day you came along So, I crossed oceans to be with you Never had a man do the things you do Your love was right on time Took half my life just to find ya Don't matter where I've been but where I'm going And if you've got the time I'll tell you why Home I know I got a home Home Know I got a home I just can't explain 'cause it just is All I know everything I have to give is his Don't you know I just can't deny who I am 'Cause I am his woman and he is my man So I'll tell anyone who wants to know When you find the one never let them go Just leave it all behind If the door is open walk inside Don't ever ask again where I'm going But if you have to know now Home Where I lay my head Where I'm happiest Where love reigns down I tell you now there is no doubt Where he makes me feel That our love is real Hope you find your own Without it you'll be all alone

I Am 04:59
Ever since time began It's been the nature of man To say who should stay and who should go But by now you would think We would be able to see Everybody's gotta right to be heard Instead they say, This one is much too small She don't fit in at all And who does he think he is They've got too much pride Let's push them aside I'm here to make you understand That there's a better plan I am hope for a better day I have something that I got to say I hold the world in the palm of my hand And if there's any doubt you'll leave here without it 'Cause I'm the one and only you know it Baby I am It makes no sense at all to wanna see others fall And simply fade away Would it hurt you so To stop and try and get to know The person you say you hate We ain't going nowhere And it's time we learn to share Before it all fades away I may be different than you But I want the same things too I'm here to make you understand That there's a better plan When I stand it is tall When I dream don't do small Only one of it's kind This is big, can you dig I am hope I am light Won't go down without a fight Do you know what I mean If you do, help me sing Can't do you must be me This simple truth sets me free Don't think they understand This is real, I feel ya Oh, so right can't be wrong Don't tell me I don't belong 'Cause baby I am
4.
I sat down to write a song That would change the world It would ease your pain with only words I would create a rhyme Touch your soul and ease your mind I sat down to write a song Governments and presidents Would heed my words Stop with the politics and slinging dirt The music would make 'em move Serve the people do only good I sat down to write a song I write a song that would change the world Brothers and sisters would stop their wars Hear the sound of my voice And wonder what they're fighting for Hatred and jealousy would disappear from humanity I write a song I sat down to write a song that would change the world It would ease your pain with only words Silly me to think that I could write this song I had to try so, I write a song
5.
I need to get away I got plans to make a break Leave it all behind 'Cause I need to find I need to find my way Here the sun don't shine When I look I never find A smile to fill this space There it seems to me Everyone is so happy That's where I wanna be Anywhere but here I don't even care Where I go, Who I see Let the wind take me I'll just close my eyes And I hope I'll find Serenity, inner peace Let the wind take me I need to find a place Where I can just escape Find a place that's mine It might take some time But I'll get there someday Here, I know everyday Will unfold the same way It's driving, driving me crazy There I know I'll be I'll be so happy So, that's where I wanna be
6.
I once knew a man Who had everything Or so the story goes Had a lovely wife Seemed to love his life But things were soon to change One day it came to be Lost his faith in humanity With rage from deep inside Cut himself off from his life Lock the door let no one in Had no need for any friends While we just stood outside 'Cause we had our own lives The saddest story ever told Is of the ones who've given up And hold the pain deep inside The saddest thing you'll ever hear Is someone say that they don't care About this precious thing called life Did too much time go by Did we really try to save this man If we claim to be Someone who cares you see You'll fight until the end Do we break the door force ourselves in Do all we can to save our friend Was it a cry for help Or did he need time for himself What to do no one knew No we stand outside asking that question, "why"
7.
From the outside looking in We're so perfect But if they really knew the truth We're far from it God knows I...I love you And I'm always thinking of you But for you can't say the same And it really is a shame What's going on now baby Think you tryin' to drive me crazy Never thought you could be so lazy Need a man and not a baby Whatchathin' boy...whatchathinkin' I'm your woman not your mama Baby I don't need this drama looking at you makes me wanna holla Whatchathinkin' boy...whatchathinkin' I do everything for you You don't appreciate it And all I get is attitude And I don't deserve it I don't need much...just understanding And from time to time...a helping hand then Won't have to scream and moan Every night when you get home Are you listening baby God knows I...I love you And I'm always...thinking of you It takes two to play this game And I don't know who's to blame I think your trippin' baby
8.
Wicked 04:19
You know they smile in your face But all the time they're just hatin' on you They may laugh for a while But in time the truth always comes through You know your madness I won't claim I know I'm not to blame it's all you You see my eyes are open wide And I can't deny I played the fool But I finally learned the truth You can't disguise all the lies That are coming from you It's in your walk The way you talk You know it all tell the truth Your crooked smile no longer hides All the evil you do I see through you, I see all that you do Your wicked Something told me, keep your distance But you were so convincing I thought we were cool and for a while things were good but I misunderstood that's just how you do Well, you play these sick old games the way that you behave is twisted You know that you give off the sort of vibe That something just ain't right Your wicked and it will all come back to you
9.
I look around and all I see All these unhappy people They always seem to be surrounding me Won't take the time to try and find Any joy in life only see what's going wrong And not what's right And then they have the nerve ` To say the fault is hers Or his or who ever happens to be there that day Maybe the problem is you It's hard to hear the truth What do you hope to gain If all you ever do is complain Everybody always wants someone to blame When things don't go the way Don't go the way they want It's always someone else's fault No one ever seems to be satisfied With what they have in their lives Always looking for more You look around and all you see Everything that they have And ask yourself why can't that be me You seems to think that life's unfair But happiness you can make it From someone else you can't take it no So, just enjoy your life Won't get to live it twice It's a shame to let it pass you by and slip away Well babe it's all up to you It's hard to hear the truth What do you hope to gain If all you ever do is complain I want you to stop and look at all that you have And maybe in time you'll find that it's not that bad I need you to think about how far you have come And not dwell on all the things that you haven't done Don't blame it on them take responsibility For the choices you made and the fear inside you keep Thank GOD you're alive and you finally see the light You have another day to make your dreams a reality
10.
My hips my thighs My nose my eyes The color of the skin I'm in My hair my clothes You know they only show A fraction of what lies within And by the time you've got me figured out I'll do something that will make you doubt All I want is for you to see all of me it's so worth it scratch the surface It goes deeper than deep you'll be surprised by what you find But it's no mystery There is more...much more to me What's behind my smile? Is my heart open wide? is there a secret that I keep hidden? If I'm rude you see Well, I'm not trying to be Maybe now I'm going through something At just one glance you could never tell You got to try and get to know me well Am I open or just hoping for this day to end? Am I worthy, did life hurt me, will I fight 'till the end? Do I some times criticize, or am I a good friend? And if you tried to get to know me, will I let you in? Why do we always think the worst of each other Before we try and get to know one another?
11.
Ya Gotta 04:34
Back in the day no matter what you say We knew how to party And we partied hardy But look at 'em now, they all stand around looking at each other what ya gonna do With your back against the wall everybody's cool but What happened to the.... And the..... Everybody with their hands up in the air What happened to the... And the... We partied like we just didn't have a care Ya Gotta Let it go let it all hang out Let the people hear ya scream and shout You can't just sit there when you hear this groove Ya Gotta Let it go let your hair hang down But you can't do it sitting down Get up and let the music do what it do You can call me old wasn't long ago no The roof caught on fire and we made it hotter Weren't afraid to clown we came to get down Had a good time Didn't have no rules Wouldn't care about what other people came to do no What happened to the.... And the..... Everybody get yourselves out on the floor What happened to the.... And the..... If you didn't come to party, you know where you can find the door
12.
You say that things have changed And you don't know who to blame You wonder if you should stay And I find it hard to be Everything you want and need Why do we hurt each other this way I run when you call I pretend i don't hear you at all And you know that it's not right How you try to wear me down every day and night Is this the way? Enough baby, Is this how it should be Living in misery? Is this the way? No baby, we can't go on like this another day Tell me where does the love go When we're both too tired to show Each other what we need We've been holding on too long And we both know that it's wrong It's time we set each other free I think we both know We could end this now as friends Or we could drag this out 'till the bitter end But if we let go We could find what's left of you and me Or how it used to be

about

2nd album by Monique Harcum & DJ Grazzhoppa ,
A.K.A. Mo & Grazz.

BIO:
-Mo & Grazz

Kindred souls from opposite poles. A shared melody set to different rhythms. Two loves – music, and each other. Music brought Philadelphia-bred songstress Monique Harcum and Belgian turntable pioneer DJ Grazzhoppa together in more ways than one – first as friends, then as husband and wife, and now as the duo known as Mo & Grazz, flexing a unique sound that fuses hip-hop,funk, jazz, gospel and classic r&b, to create a sound that goes beyond any musical genre.
Mo started out her career in the States as a dancer, and was featured in Spike Lee’s Malcolm X biopic before touring with the European adaptation of the Broadway hit musicals Little Shop Of Horrors and Hair. Mo has also toured with Grammy Award winning R&B artist Jill Scott and can be heard on the live album Experience Jill Scott+360. Grazz is the 1991 European DMC Champion and the bronze medalist in the 1998 ITF World DJ Championships. An accomplished producer as well as a deejay, he has worked on mediums from the theater to the studio with talents like De Puta Madre, Omni, Cage, MF DOOM, Blade, Greedy-Fingers and AKA Moon to name a few. Considered by some to be the godfather of Belgian hip-hop, Grazz has released over 100 records on vinyl and CD.
Mo was touring the U.S. in 2003 as a background singer for the Afropean R&B duo Les Nubians when they shared a bill with the globally respected Zap Mama, who Grazz was deejaying for at the time. Nature took its course, and only a year later Grazz had created DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband, a turntable extravaganza featuring 12 deejays, saxophone player Fabizio Cassol, and Mo on vocals. On January 27 2005 they broke a well-established record by being the only hip-hop group ever to play before a sold-out crowd at the famed La Monnaie/ De Munt opera house in Brussels. All the while, Mo & Grazz were busy perfecting what has come to be their trademark sound: a fusion of gospel, hard-hitting hip-hop grooves and infectious vocal melodies.
In 2006 Mo &Grazz released their debut album Falling Upon Def Ears. A ferocious live act, they routinely switch between an eight-piece band and good ol’ two-turntables-and-a-microphone. They have been the supporting act for acts like Angie Stone, Roots Manuva and Guru of Jazzmatazz. In 2007 they had the honor of opening  for ‘70s soul legends Sly & The Family Stone at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Gent, Belgium. Mo & Grazz are currently touring with their sophomore project Gemini, out on Featherperm Records.
